New Project

New project for the week: A Decision Journal.

The structure is a bit more detailed than my regular journal.  Although I do keep track of many of these things already.  But, maybe this will add some additional edge to the process.

Trading Decision Journal: 
1) Relevant variables that will govern the outcome.

2) What I expect to happen.

3) Why I expect it to happen. 

4) How I feel and my confidence level.

If I can't write down the relevant variables that govern the trade, and why I think that my vision of the future movement has high-odds of occurring, then my trade is probably being taken for other reasons than profitability. 

I'm simply not going to learn from my trading decisions if I don't keep trade of, and review, what's decided and why.  

Another benefit will be reduced hindsight bias and it will FORCE me to make my rational EXPLICIT upfront.  With luck this habit will surface bad thinking that might have otherwise slipped by.  

Easier said than done!
